Hmm. It looked more vibrant in Photoshop. I was going for the shocking bright copper of my nephew's little mop, and came up a shade too light. Still, a little ginger is better than no ginger at all.
Oh now see? MUCH better. He is indeed a handsome one. I have no idea who he is, but that picture below in the purply suit doesn't do much for me...looks like a lounge singer or one of those nuts you see on religious programs, who THINK they can sing, but really...not so much.
Ooof! I'm with Sharon Osborn. Pretty much everything I don't like in a singer - and I came close with my guess that he belongs on a religious program. How did I GUESS?!
Oh I know, he is complete high camp. But then I'm the sort of woman who will sit and get over excited at Dancers on Ice. All that glitter, the spangles, the music, the KABLAM moves! Into every life some cheese must fall.
You know what, though, Chris Isaak in one of his gold lame suits isn't much different - though the musical style is worlds away. and I like my Chris Isaak so...there's also a place for glitter in my hard little soul.
You can be sure it was well tried and tested for that effect, Medbh. Oh Chris and his dulcet tones. I believe I will go listen to Heart Shaped World right now.
Have to confess I saw him from the the audition right through the preliminary coverage (late night repeats - it was an accident, a series of accidents) and developed a softspot for him - because flames and glitter aside, the boy can sing. And it turned out he was a nice young chap after all.
