Guess who's sitting in a bloody office today - feeling like I've been in a serious accident. Shall I puke or shall I faint?
Actually I'm worried about the drink situation, because I feel soooo wasted after drinking all this week - and on Sunday I am travelling to Rome for the holidays, and that is when the real drinking is supposed to start!
Oh, there is so much wine and prosecco to still to come...
How will I have the energy to keep up with it?

Being home is at least a small silver lining. I've got a shitty beer hangover, and I'm in the office...actually drove to work today, which I do once a year because the parking situation in Harvard Square is a joke - and found a space RIGHT IN FRONT of my building, and a worker said, "oh, today's street cleaning day, you can't park here."

ReplyDeleteYep. I hadn't had my coffee yet. I shouted an expletive, and actually managed to find another spot around the corner, that had no street cleaning signage. And then I realized...it's the last Friday of the month that they have street cleaning - and today is NOT the last Friday of the month.
ReplyDeleteHad I had my coffee, I'd have pointed that out and taken the better parking spot.
Half of the problem is my own pre-caffeine stupidity. The other half shall be dealt with if I see that guy in an hour when I go out to plug the meter.
Advice? The only advice I can offer today is stay drunk, at least that way there are no hangovers, if Shane McGowen can do it you can.

Christmas kills me, now I've got to go take a shower and head into town to meet folk. And you just KNOW where that's going to head, right?
And before anyone says something like, 'don't drink' let me just say there is a fucking harp on my passport, ergo Irish.
For pity's sake, I almost wish someone would shoot me now and put me out of my misery.
