I have parted with 70 of my much loved Euros so that I may register my hungover hide in the Dublin City Marathon. There's a countdown clock and everything. There are only 27 days left until I run 26 miles. The following link has the route.

Excuse me, I think I must spend some time in the bathroom.
EEEEEEK
Ah, a dose of the runs, eh?
ReplyDeleteBada boom tish!
ReplyDelete(Thank good for beans on toast, I feel almost recovered)
Jeepers, time for lunch!
ReplyDeletePity it isn't cumulative - that way you could run a mile a day between now and then with a day off for good behaviour... I have to say I really admire you and wish I had the energy/willpower/legs to do something like that myself!
ReplyDeleteI'll be in the baggage area watching out for ya! I could have some rum at the ready or maybe something stronger to deaden the pain.....just kiddin'.
ReplyDeleteFMC, you are so ready for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous. I started training for it in May and had a few injuries and now I am fat as a fool and my atrophied leg muscles cannot run no more.
ReplyDeleteHoly moly, I'll be in Dublin when the marathon goes off. I guess I should make plans to stand amidst the onlookers and shout "Go Fatmammycat!" at every woman I see running the race.
ReplyDeleteMind those ankles.
ReplyDeleteEvening chumlies. And I hope this monday finds you hearty and fine and not filled with terror.
ReplyDeleteAisling! Make mine two parts rum one part morphine. mmmmmmorphine.
Just imagine Memnoch and The Lilac One calling advice in querulous lilac voices from a scooter behind you. Continue for 26 miles. With that sort of support you might even win the thing.
ReplyDeleteDead impressed with all the effort you've put into this fmc. I feel like an oaf.
Thank you dahling. I must admit I'm a bit astounded at my willingness to batter my poor body senseless with hair brained schemes, but any objection it might have is always over ridden by sheer stupidity.
ReplyDeletebeans on toast sounds loverly.... but why a monday? is it like patriots day and the boston marathon?
ReplyDeleteGod knows Finn, there's probably some reason for it though. It's probably a bank holiday here.
ReplyDeleteI am teetotaling it until then too, may we suffer in non silence.
they don't hold it on sunday, because of objections from mass goers
