Hardy Bunch, those Australians.

I'm feeling a bit delicate and fretful this very morning. A weekend of hooch and over indulgence has left me feeling lightheaded, icky and downright sunken.
However, I did not tangle with a crocodile. So I suppose I am ahead of the game. Lucky me.
From today's Indo.

"An Australian who went for a drunken dip in the sea got more than he bargained for when he dived into the jaws of a large crocodile.

Matt Martin was camping alone in northern Queensland when he decided to go for a swim, despite having drunk what he later admitted was "half a slab'' or 12 cans of beer.

When the 35-year-old construction worker dived into a wave, he butted heads with a submerged saltwater crocodile.

"I thought I was dead. It was like when you hit a rock, but the rock moves,'' he said.

"The next moment, I'm standing up and something in my head was screaming 'it's a croc', and I just started to backpedal.''

As Mr Martin was retreating, the crocodile caught him with its formidable jaws, inflicting deep gashes to his face.

He managed to scramble out of the water but instead of seeking medical help, decided to sleep off his drinking binge.

The next day he drove himself to hospital but had to hold a blanket to staunch the bleeding to his face, which was "pretty messed up''. The cuts required over 40 stitches.

Dr Mark Read, a crocodile expert, said Mr Martin was a "damn lucky fella'' to have survived."

Quite.

Reminds me of the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. "It's just a flesh wound, I'll sleep it off".

Typical bloke.... I've a splitting headache. Well did you take anything for it. No it'll be fine.

Oh Snarf! I loved that film. 'Come 'ere! I'll bite ya!'
Can you imagine the state of him when he strolled into the hospital?

I saw a story that said that there's a great danger of alligators attacking the poor people in Mexico who are homeless from all the flooding. So sad.

Really? How odd.
I never even realised there were alligators in Mexico.

It was very commendable that he chose not to drink and drive, waiting until the morning. Why can't more people be like him?

Not so much hardy as foolhardy.

You'd have to admire him though, and fear him a bit too. I wonder did the croc just take a bite and go, 'holy moely, bleaugh, just like cucumber crossed with drunken cabbage! Bleagh.' and then spit him out.

Not being able to exercise properly is a very VERY pitiful way to be. I'm getting withdrawal pangs.

Maybe the crocodile just fancied him and wanted to smooch a little. It can be hard to tell a crocodile's deep feelings. They're often terribly misunderstood. And their hearts break often. Crocodile tears are real, at least for the crocodile. They're really just big jessies.

For joy though! My strength is returning. I stopped by earlier and could barely type out a comment. Me and little'un 2 have been up all night vomitting and having baths and repeating. Things are settling down now but we make a miserable-looking pair of ashen boxing-losers.

Could be a case of mistaken identity. The croc may not have heard that a ray has already taken out Steve Irwin.

I'm the kind of guy who passions to taste innovative things. Presently I'm fabricating my personal pv panels. I'm managing it all by myself without the aid of my staff. I am using the net as the only path to acheive this. I came across a truly amazing site that explains how to create solar panels and wind generators. The place explains all the steps involved in solar panel construction.

I'm not really sure about how accurate the info given there iz. If some people over here who have xp with these works can have a see and give your feedback in the site it would be grand and I'd extremely value it, because I extremely lav solar panel construction.

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was
extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote
and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still
new to the whole thing. Do you have any
helpful hints for rookie blog writers? I'd really appreciate it.
