Pedometers. Bodily needs and wants.

Ever notice you sometimes crave something you might actually need? Sometimes it's salt, nothing but nothing will do except eating something salty. Other times it's something sweet? I ran a long run today, and by golly I really really would sever a right arm for some chocolate right this second, and I don't even like chocolate. So I'll have to go to the shop and get some. What's good eating in chocolate form? Do they still make minty Aeros?

Oh, and Boots are selling pedometers at the moment for one Euro! I bought one the other day for a laugh to see what sort of distance I'm covering, supposedly you're supposed to walk about 10,000 steps a day if you want to be tickity-boo. Yesterday I covered just over 14,000 steps, So far today I've covered nearly 22,000 although I'm not exactly feeling anything close to tickity-boo. Grab one if you have time and just slot it onto your belt, it's light and small you don't even notice you're wearing it, but it is interesting to see what you're doing in a day.

  2. What does tickity-boo mean?

    healthy? drunk? happy?

    I'll pretend it means drunk.

  3. One toblerone coming up.

Morgor, I can't even pretend it means drunk. It SHOULD mean drunk but it doesn't. I haven't had a drink or a sleeping tablet since Sunday.I believe I might very well be hallucinating.

    To the shops!

Morgor - its a Billy Connollyism, it means great/happy. Ya know you can get tickety-boo tea, it isnt that nice, but it does have the big yin on the front.

  5. how about a chocolate-covered pedometer???

  6. Aero bubbles in a bag! Like malteasers but without the honeycomb centre. Actually I rather like the honeycomb centre. Hmm, but I had Aeros in mind. Oh drat.
But huzzah, I am off out for dinner tonight. I believe I will eat my own body weight in seafood. better than chocolate covered pedometers I'd wager. I can always walk it off tomorrow. I sure as shit won't be running.

  7. Cravings - usually a sign of pregnancy.

    Or addiction.

    Are you addicted?

  9. I am no such thing, perish the thought. It's just a post exercise demand-that I found mildly curious. Pregnant, pfft, as if.

The Toblerone solution is a toughy! See, I like Milk but the other fella likes Dark, so we have to have one of each. Or a box of those Toblerone singles at Christmas cuz the small fella likes white. SO, depending on your choice of chockie, go for Dark, Milk or White, but you can't go wrong with Toblerone!

Mint Aero isn't chocolate. It's some sort of vile mockery of chocolate. It's mockery chocory.

Jesus, did I really just type that? I blame the beer; it's late.

  12. Lindt makes these chocolate truffle balls. A hard chocolate shell with a soft, smooth truffle like chocolate filling. Out of fucking control. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I can murder a box of those in minutes.

Butler's!! dayum it's good stuff and every time I come to Ireland I bring some back home

I've noticed as I get older I get get horrible cravings for chocolate and/or steak a day or two before "that time of the month"... like clockwork!

  14. Chocolate, I only really like it if I'm cold, it's cold or I've been in a car accident.

However if you're talking something salty, that's an entirely different story.

  15. So it IS a weird craving of sorts. Frankly I'd prefer a packet of Meanies over chocolate any day of the week, but yesterday only chocolate would suffice. Fear not Jimmy Pages pants, I went for the chocolate non minty variety of Aero.

You actually make it seem so easy together with your presentation
however I find this matter to be actually one thing that I believe I'd by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward in your next put up, I will
attempt to get the cling of it!
