I'm a bouncy, opinionated, messy haired marathon running (!) bibliophile. I wear high heels and have delightful ankles. I'm a devoted drinker. I want a French Bulldog puppy whom I shall call Batman and dress in capes on occasion. I would also like a pug, whom I shall name Mister Woo. He can remain capeless, but I will make sure he wears a diamante collar at all times. Both dogs will submit to repeated snorgling and high pitched squeals that only a dolphin would normally tolerate. I hate Reiki/psychics/mystics/frauds with all my liver. Also, I'm firmly against Jazz and poetry/poems/pomes/ peoms or any of that stuff. I believe in the healing power of ginger.

I'm not saying I want to know what it's like to be shot, but just that split second when you think, 'oh fuck, this is going to hurt' and then the pain sets in...It must be similiar.

Oh yeah, you're right! I saw a guy take a football to the goolies once and he had that, 'oh shit, here comes the pain' look. Right before he toppled over and lay groaning on the ground.
I have seen people vomit after being hit with a football in the groin.

The devil of it is that if it's broken there is no treatment. We have two chairs with claw feet that I have verbally consigned to hell a number of times. Incidentally if one clicks on your home page at doc's one gets 'page not available' although the side bar works.

nope, sorry to shatter the illusion but being shot (even in a limb, like the left arm just above the elbow)is a lot more hurty.
for one theres a fuckin hole in yer arm thats 9mm at the entry point and big enough to put yer fist in at the back, the tearing of ligaments and muscles and the general pain level that means when I stub my toe now its just one of those inconvieneient little things that I just ignore or walk off like hangnails or stabwounds.
