This line in particular really stands out. "During yesterday's proceedings, Garda Noonan said he was the garda "who stopped John O'Donoghue for speeding and I was asked by the commissioner to state he [O'Donoghue] was not in the car and I refused to do so"."
This one could be a hell of a politicial kaboom. Garda Noonan sounds like a man of principle, it will be interesting to see where this leads. Of course Guards can be a dodgy as the next Joe, but doesn't this smell really off to you?

What do you think will happen tho FMC? Everyone knows they're a shower of corrupt shites - and O'Donoghue will just go on as normal, with barely a slap on the wrists. The public just accept it and go back to reading the daily mail to get their fix of mind-numbing shite.
Hard to say, it will depend on the meedja coverage of it. During a time of ecconomic anxiousness folk are less forgiving of corruption.
Oh, I like it. I'd give him instant promotion to head of the traffic corps. Johnny O'D (from Caherciveen) is known as 'The Ring of Kerry' since he became Ceann Comhairle' and rang his likkle bell for quiet on the benches.
He's a solicitor too, and should know better.
