motivation for fatcats and possibly for chumlies of Fatcats!

Another groggy eyed Satdee rolls around. Lemmie see how I am.
Hungover, check.
Voice going from extended jibbar jabbing- check.
Arms exhausted form extensive use of spirit fingers- check.
Slight burpies from scary yet deeeeeelicious MoMo kebab- check.
Ankle strain from tottering in too high heels- check.
Going to go to a wedding in a few hours- damn and blast! Check!

Cry cry.
But never mind that, never mind my sufferings, let's hear about YOUR sufferings. Did you hit the light fandango this week? Swim like dolphins? Cycle like...erm... cyclists. How did your week go? Are you all rippling with good health or winding down to a festivus for the restofus styled crash?
I'm striving to hold off the christmas belly this year, but I can feel myself growing ever more lazy by the day. I know January will soon be bitch slapping me senseless and all I seem to want to do is eat cheese and drink wine and loll about watching movies until then.
Gah!
However.
Last weekend I did a 12k lap of Barcelona. Sweet.
Monday- nowt.
Tuesday- 10k run in the evening. Not great, but I was tired from traveling so that's my excuse.
Wednesday- 8K hilly loop.
Thursday- 10k, which was my best run of the week, coming in under the hour mark and feeling good in the legs.
Yesterday, no running but I walked 9k into town instead of taking the bus or car.

No gym at all this week, but I'm going to go tomorrow, assuming I don't slither out of bed more banjaxed than Courtney Love,
Right, there will be dancing today and the Paramour has a new tie, what this has to do with exercise I cannot say, but I'm off now to demolish bacon and eggs.
Have a great weekend y'all.

only ran twice this week, feeling very lazy, when this Christmasy thing is out of the way we'll attack the running lark from all sides. Enjoy the wedding, and has he got a collar for that tie

Have a lovely time all dressed up with the Paramour, FMC.

We went to the gym Wed and Fri. We do all the cybex machines and then it adds up to an hour walking to and fro. Mr. M suggested we work in time on the stationary bike for our tandem trip this summer. I hates it.
I feel good otherwise.

Last weekend worked out -and how! Lots of elliptical, free weights, bike, leg stuff, ab wheel, etc., etc.

Monday, nothing.

Tuesday, early morning elliptical and lunges and squats before work.

Wednesday, nothing.

Thursday, nothing - though walking a mile or two in a snowstorm may count for something, as my legs are very, very sore.

Friday, early morning shoveling of driveway. Thought that justified not working out. Shovel, shovel, ouch, my back.

But the weekend is here and I should have enough time for LOTS of cardio, weights, squats, lunges, etc. As soon as I get some protein into my gut, for I too am hungover (check), the sweating begins.

Have a great time at the wedding. May the food be scrumptious, the bar be open, and the dancing silly.

Does Christmas tree lugging count?

Blah! A terrible week for exercise. Terrible. I've got a houseful - 6 adults and 2 kids to feed every night until January 8th. Most of my time is spent with my nose in a cookery book, eating enormous meals, or with a twig in my ear as we try to get the Christmas tree straight finally. It keeps listing. I've never known a tree like it for sheer bloody minded listing.

Have a nice time at the wedding, toots.

'twas finals week, so i did what i could.... which wasn't much. on top of that J left the headlights on in the car, so we are housebound until someone can give us a jump... which cancels out our plans to hit the gym today.

tuesday - timed run/walk... 5 min w, 5r/3w, 8r/3w, 5r/3w
wednesday - timed run/walk... 5 min w, 10r/3w/10r
today - 25 minute run.

i also joined sparkpeople.com to help track my fitness, goals, and nutrition. and found out that my idea of a portion size and acceptable caloric intake is vastly different from what's considered 'healthy'. bah.

I did 30 lengths, 34 lengths and 20lengths. I would really like add another 30 lengths to that, but hadn't figured on today heralding a hangover the size of a small pacific nation. So am thinking I may go and lie under the shade of my magnolia tree and keep on reading The Book Thief - Markus Zusak - GO AND BUY NOW - and possibly walk six k to this afternoon's barbeque instead of drive. Is Christmas over yet?

Really looking forward to wedding debrief.

P.S Sam, you're feeding six adults and two children till the 8th? I reckon a statue should be built in your honour.

Weights on Monday and Wednesday. I ended up working a little later than usual on Friday and when I finally stepped away from the keyboard I had a very difficult choice to make: Go down to the very cold basement and work out or open the little fridge behind the bar and get me a nice cold beer. Ok, ok, so it wasn't that hard of a decision. I'm also counting my snow shoveling activities on Thursday as a quasi-workout.

Enjoy the wedding! We've got one today too which I really DON'T want to attend. First, the mother of the bride specifically dis-invited her nephew's husband. Biotch! Second, it's an orthodox Jewish affair so there will be (gasp!) no liquor. I shall have to fill up my little flask with Jameson to get through this one.

I can't believe I forgot to check in yesterday. The horror!
I went sort of easy this week, only three running days, plus one day of pilates, plus one day where I spent an hour raking the frozen matted leaves that fell just before the last big snow/ice fest, and just in time--10 minutes before the big hoover truck came by, and a day before the new snow, of which we have 7 inches.
I did, however, do just under 6.5k on the treadmill one day, and just under 5k outside in the snow yesterday with spouse.

Went to the gym three times, loads of squats and lunges in the first two sessions that had my knees buckling. Had the best of intentions of getting on the exercise bike yesterday but somehow didn't manage to get out of my pyjamas. It was too cold to even think of running, my lungs would have frozen.

rode OUTSIDE for the first time since october. saturday morning laf and i did 26miles, which was remarkable considering the fact that as soon as i got up, i threw up, then i threw up again after a cup of coffee, then thinking i needed SOMETHING in my stomach to get me through a ride (note i didn't seriously consider not riding), i ate a gel and drank some water, then promptly threw that up.

i felt much better after the ride. there is nothing better than exercise for detox, i submit.

That's a lot of vomit, are you sure you're okay? Do you feel the need to graze on strange foods? Are you sniffing fire-lighters and petrol cans?
