Hiking.
Right-ho, off I go. Just me and a teenager and some sambos wrapped in tinfoil, lovingly made my a sleepy paramour. Five hours with a teenager, three of them climbing hills, with a teenager, a talkative teenager who says 'like' a lot.
What was I thinking?
At least it's sunny, which means nothing, as it was sunny the last time I did this too, and that turned out like the following.

But no matter, that won't happen to day. It just wont, if I keep saying that all will be well. Laters.

Since Paramour made the sandwiches, you may find a helpful note inside them:
"Feed the teenager"
Back now, showered, wreck of Hespa, blister on toe, ears talked off me, sunburn, beer in fridge, very cool, football on, early evening sorted.
Two teens on the train this morning as I went to work - my mp3 player died on me the git - anyways! Two teens on teh train this morning, between Sydney Parade and Sandymount, they said 'like' 29 times... TWENTY NINE.
When we stopped at Grand Canal Dock until we left it, they had said it 9 times.
I was murderous
Oh Pinkie, what can I say, poor thing.
How did the Little Goth take to tramping around the countryside all hale and hearty? Was she worried at all that she might get rosy cheeks and ruin her wan, Goth look?
You do a lovely thing when you spend your time with her, fmc. She's got family worries, if I remember right, (do I?) and obviously thinks you're the cat's very whiskers. They say time spent with a kid is never wasted and you've been very generous with your's. It's pretty cool of you, ya know, even if she was a wee yabbergob and drove you crazy. Would that all disaffected young kids had a fatmammycat to turn to.
She less Goth and more Surf these days in must be said, and does like to waffle in fairness to her. But once we got going and hit the steps she was fine-and too out of breath to talk much.
Actually I don't mind the company and we had sambos and sunshine at the apex of the Spinc. When we crested the last hill and wandered down though the bracken and the shale we saw a hawk swooping just below the cliff line and both of us went 'cooooooool' (dorks that we are). Then she went off running to the ledge to see where it went and I almost fainted becasue I'm actually rather afraid of heights, (but I insist on going up high things as I believe in confronting my fear, not in a cool new agey way, but in a sweating heart beating what am I doing way? I'll fall here and somehow roll across the ground and over the drop to the rocks below won't I, I will if I look, so I won't look, yes, that's it, I won't look at all)
But she didn't tumble screaming to her death, I didn't faint, and we toddled on.
It was delightful. No pale black faced sheep mind. I did look.
Righty, I"m off to look through my wardrobe for an ensemble. Then it's off oooot for the night for this (rather weary and slightly sunburnt)Cat.
I was goth back in the old days, in the long ago if you will. I never said "like". It was all "maaaan" and "huh". Ah happy days...
Nowadays even 'goth' is out, you got to be 'Emo'.
You're sooo with it, FMC. I only learned of Emos this morning in the ST.
Do you know if there's a name for young males who wear just a T-shirt 365 days a year? The I'm soooo tough types. In winter they have goosebumps the size of golf balls.
Maybe GG's would work. As in gan geansaĆ.

Eegits is the only thing that comes to mind, Initial Woosh, but I'm sure someone less hungover will think of something better than my poor attempt.
GGs makes me think of horses.
emo is just so weedy. And not in a good way
