Motivation for Fatcats.

I don't have the results of my x-ray yet, but the good lady doc expects they might turn up tomorrow. Pfft.
But I've been training on the sly-stupid I know, but the marathon is only eight weeks away and if there is any hope of me completing it I've got to keep my fitness levels up. Nothing crazy, lots of rowing and some gentle runs, the max being about 5k.
So, as a run down I thought I might post a daily look at my prep for D-Day. It will only be a one liner, but I reckon it will give me the focus I need to make sure the next 8 weeks are the most productive weeks I can manage.
Now bearing in mind I've done bugger all running since before Valencia, bear with me. Anyone not interested, feel free to ignore. Anyone with advice, bring it.

Sept 3rd-10k run, on treadmil, slow 70 mins, watching for injury, there was none that I could see/feel.

Sept 4th-rowing 5000m 25 :08. no running. Light weights concentrating on lats and shoulders.

hey bored at home not stalking you I promise. are you doing the adidas half marathon on 22nd of Sept? I'm a bit scared of doing the Oct marathon on my own in case I come last but was gonna do the half one first to see how I go but some people in the gym told me not to do it as it is so close to the Oct one. Is that true?

I'd say if you're feeling up for it go right ahead and do it, the addias races are supposed to be the lead in to the marathon anyway, so whoever told you not to do it was a bit wonky with their advice.
I'll do it if I"m feeling in the right place for it. I'll see how the next two weeks go.

it was actually a gimp that worked in the gym maybe it's to do with avoiding injury and such. I'll be bolloxed for the rest of the week anyway so I guess like yourself I'll have to wait. All the best with your results tomorrow, hope it goes well for you.

You're the Bionic Woman, FMC. Good luck with your doctor. I have a feeling you'll keep training no matter what she says.

Good luck with the results FMC. If you're doing easy runs on the nice, soft treadmill I'm sure it's fine.

First of all I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question
in which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I've had a tough time clearing
my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in writing but it
just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
Kudos!
