motivation for fatcats and possibly for chumlies of Fatcats!

Wednesday-10k-ungainly and painful and clumsy but done.
Thursday 8k- cold and dark.
Yesterday- long 12k, poodling my noodle, felt good, if wet and very very windy.
Satdee- 5.5 K with my good pal Country gay, very easy and gentle job, some stops and some starts. I am very proud of him, he did terrific and even said, 'what about Monday evening?' So very proud of him.

I promise I will get back to training next week, I promise. Running, badminton and swimming will be on my agenda. Today I'm still recovering after the drinking marathon that has been my life for the past two weeks. I'm just glad I survived it.
Barely.
But from today onwards I will be GOOD.
Promise.

Pah! Another bad week for exercising in the rabbit warren. New Year's, sick cat, back to work, depressed, blahhhhhh.

BUT, after some good news this morning, I was able to bang out 30 minutes on the elliptical, 20 squats with weights, 20 lunges with weights, 30 leg lifts (for those nasty saddle bags on the outer thighs), and some tricep curls. Now I'm going out to celebrate, and negate all the good this workout just did, by consuming a bucket of beer and a grilled veggie sandwich with lovely, lovely cheese.

Another workout tomorrow, I hope. Then, fingers crossed, the days are getting lighter so I can maybe...MAYBE get up one or two mornings this week and work out before going to the office.

Or maybe I just have to be happy with weekend workouts for the next little while. No time, no time!

Looks like you've got a convert, FMC.
Well done.
So the weather here is nuts. Thursday was the coldest of the year so far at -17C and Tuesday it's set to be 13C.
Crazy.
We did Wed&Fri at the gym.
I can see changes. One of which is that my ass is getting fuller from the leg presses and what not. I'm not sure I like it.

-17? yikes! I don't even know what they could be like. And it's not fuller darling, it's just FIRMER.

Andraste, I am not going to read a single other post of yours that might contain beer and cheese references. But I very glad about the old girl, very glad indeed.

Eva, I believe you, no really I totally do.
Right, a Satdee evening without gadding about. To the TV I go. Surely there are films and such, right?

i came down with a nasty, nasty case of the flu on christmas eve, which persisted until a few days ago. so i've spent the holidays laying on the couch and wishing i could get up and do something without getting so dizzy that i fall over.

but monday starts a new week! and more running. and the gym. i've got to get back on my school schedule soon, as classes begin shortly.

Eek, sounds vile and what a typical time to be ill. However I am a firm believer in Mondays and fresh starts. Glad you're better.

Well done, Country Gay, and well done FMC for encouraging him.

My kiddies are back to school on Monday after a two-week Christmas break. (Seems longer!) Then I'll be able to hit the gym for cardio and weights. Time to say goodbye to the muffin-top!

Good lass CA, although I'd imagine with the children on holidays you were run probably ragged and had PLENTY of exercise.

You lot and your extra week, tsk tsk. Well Monday it is so. Next satdee's MFFAPFCOF will be chock-a-bloc full of sweat and toil, I just know it.

I think Medbh and I are sharing the same weather.
This week I did two days of upper-body weights, two days of pilates, two days of running, one of which was a good one, one of which was shit. And today I nearly broke my back painting the kitchen and bathroom. I counted that as a workout.
