Motivation for fatcats and possibly for fatcat chumlies.
What a fine start to Satdee. I have been asleep almost 11 hours straight. Some fine beer from Smurf's larder of delights, a bag of salty and vinegary chips from the local chippooor, scoffed burningly on the way home, and voila, sleepy time. I have a woken with nary a trace of hangover, the paramour has made a pot of coffee, the sun, it shines, plus all my dreams were sexy dreams, you just can't say fairer than that!
Anyhoo my week wasn't so bad either in terms of work and so on.
Monday- Nope.
Tuesday, spent so much time here working and blogging I missed the gym, ran 10k, instead, clippity clop. Feeling it slightly on the shins.
Wednesday- GYM! Warmed up with plenty of stretching, 1000k row, and off to the weights I scampered. Ohhh baby, dead lifts, started of with 40k x 8, up to 50k x 8 and feeling good I racked up to 60k, did 3 sets of 6, using hook grip, keeping back straight, head up. V good! I've got you now 60k! If I could get my squatting under control I'd be much better at lowering the bar, but huzzah anyway.
Bicep curls, 10k sets 3x 10., these were surprisingly easy today, may be time to at least attempt a 12.5 k curl- next week, next week I say.
Pullups, 15k counter weight, using over grip, mostly working the back and shoudlers knocked out 40 of those in sets of 10. But the pads on my hands were a bit banjaxed from the dead lifts.
Finished off with 2k run and a LOT of stretching, do NOT want to be as sore as last week.
Thursday- run, much dithering but I ran in the sodding rain in the end, 12k. Wet, the rain stopped as I was coming back up my drive. Gah! Still feeling it on the shins a bit.
Friday- KIck boxing cancelled, a travesty! Went to gym, did a few 40k pull downs on the lat machine but my heart wasn't in it. I wanted to kick and punch things, and there were no things to be kicked and punched, unless, the paramour might consider a sparring ... no, no things to be kicked and punched. Bah, shower, home, complain, off to Smurf's.
And here we are.
Today I'm not sure, but tomorrow I'm running 17k along the coast. Can't wait, hope the weather is like this, I can work on my farmer's tan more, oh yes. I will be a woman of colour then. Mostly pink, and some vermillion thrown in.

Running along with that fresh coastal air sounds fab, FMC. Nothing like the salty brine to get you going.
With or without kickboxing your week kicked hinder, madam. Well done!
I had an agitated Sunday through Monday and all together must have climbed the stairs over 100 times to try and get rid of it. Felt it in my legs for a day after that.
Getting to the gym a bit tough for me at the mo with the kids on holiday, and by evening time when they're in bed, I truly cannot be arsed.
Top week, fmc, well done! Have a great run tomorrow!
Tossed and stacked a shitload of turf. Now feel even more decrepit.
Treated myself to a bit of a lazy week this week. Fit into the dress last weekend for the wedding, and having reached that goal decided to relax.
But still:
Monday - 30 minutes elliptical. Nothing else.
Tuesday - nothing - back to work.
Wednesday - 20 minutes elliptical.
Thursday - nothing much. Meh.
Friday - back on track, I think. Since it was a holiday and I had the day off, I managed 40 minutes on the elliptical - then some lunges, leg lifts, butt crunches, etc.
Today - I'm about to head down for some yoga stretches, weights, and cardio. How long I do depends on how bored and anxious I am to get outside. The weather is overcast, but dry, perfect for pale faces like me to get out and weed the garden without sun block.
Tomorrow I'm hoping for the same.
Too much information Conan!
Listen FMC, see when it rains, right? Does your flimsy running singlet and shorts sort of stick to you, emphasising the marvelous curves and crannies of your superb form?
Or do you just look drookit?
overall a good week - in non-related news found out that there's a local crossfit gym, and that they charge close to $200/mo for their services. *scoff* that and while 'house sitting' found that the woman whose birds i was feeding is a "licensed" reiki practitioner. she's also a rolfer (rolf.org) and an ordained minister. although i don't think she's a scam artist as she regularly complains about not having the money to pay the bills.... but anyway!
monday - 12 mile bike commute.
tuesday - another bike commute as well as a half mile run
wednesday - commuted to school as well as the gym, for 20 mi round trip. while at the gym swam laps for 15 minutes, lifted weights, and went to an utter ass-kicking yoga class. difficult pedaling home, but i made it.
thursday and friday - slept most of both days - j had surgery, and we both spent quality time recovering.
saturday - bike commute to school and the gym (another 20 miles) as well as some lifting at the gym.
tomorrow? supposedly a hike and yet another bike commute.
Docky- once I'd ripped the scrunchie from my top knot and shook loose my wild curling hair, I looked exactly like a seventeen year old girl flush from her first tangle with a considerably older male guy who previous to the tangle claimed he was just a 'friend'.
Between the vivid cheeks, sweaty mussed nape and the hot yet cooly sensitive areas, I was rampant!
The fact that I managed to peel every wet item off as soon as I made it through the front door, kicking my limpid body free one sultry damp piece at a time, before hitting the stairs should help complete the picture.
Hey ho everyone else, isn't having actual seasons grand? Not that I'd know a thing about it
*croak*
Daisy Mae! Do you realise if you go to Rolf.org, the first thing you see if 'Welcome Oprah Viewers' hahhaha, oh dear.
Too smuch work too do this week, after I drift over 12hr days I feel vomiticious. I only managed two runs, hmmm think I might nip off for a little run down the canal now though.
Also, after your run tomorrow you should go to Javaholics facing fairview park for breakfast, why it is home to the best breakfast in town. Scrumdiddleumcious.
Good luck with the run!
Nonny
Ta, just back in actually, bugger of a run in a way, it's closer to 20k really. Tried to keep on the grass as much as possible but still feeling it on the shins. Yurned out to be a gorgeous day though.
well now, if OPRAH approves!!!
actually, the general idea behind the practice isn't so bad, but the neighbor-lady gets very 'new age' about it, and goes on and on about how it will revive my energy stores and help me live longer, etc. etc. that's about the point that i tune out.
Hey FMC
Love your description in the comments of coming in out of the rain!! Ha ha!
I love running in the rain, don't even mind cycling in it. Which, considering where we live, that's just as well! ;-)
Aisling, that is because you is nuts and slightly bokners.
Actually I don't really mind running in the rain either, after a while you can't get any wetter and it's just becomes a cooling agent.
Miss Cat a little off topic here but did you ever see the women in the gym who is a tad bit hunched over and let just say is ermmmm an acquired taste in the pretty stakes, she has fabulous legs?
* Bows head with guilt and giddyness

Can't say I take too much notice of anyone in the gym Nonny, music on, brow furrowed, that's usually how I roll.

long runs in. Good for ya!
My week
Monday - 90 minute indoor bike class, these are getting really hard. We are simulating real life race conditions. Next week we simulate Tour De France climbs.
Tues - 2500 metre swim
Wed - Indoor bike class
Thurs - nada
Saturday - We spent the July 4th weekend camping in the High Sierras. it's an annual thing, where we do the Downieville Downhill mtn bike run. 5000 vertical feet, all downhill on some of the wildest single track available. Sphincter tighteningingly dangerous, and more fun than a bag of ferrets. I did however crash, nothing too bad but my legs logs like Jackson Pollack doodled on it. Spent the afternoon swimming in the gorgeous Yuba river, the 100 degree heat made up for the cold river.
Sunday - rinse and repeat of Saturday, 'cept my mate S crashed and got two nasty cuts, across his arms and a deep gash on his finger. Next year we wear full fingered gloves and some pads
oh, just I thought you had gave out before about some mentalist looking at her whilst she was on the weighing scales. It happened to me today, this aul bitch and her friend told me to fark off whilst they weighed themselves and then when I weighed myself ran over to look and then proceeded to lecturing me about eating healthy and such. I couldn't believe it I am not what you'd call skinny by any stretch of the imagination, I eat damn healthy and in vast quantities. I couldn't believe it. Just because I don't eat like I am feeding for four I got a torrent of abuse. This mean WAR!
Nonny
Oh in the CHANGING ROOMs, sorry sorry, bitches, you should have told them to go fuck a duck and mind their business. The cheek of them.
JOhn that indeed sounds like a fine week, 2500 swim! Yikes.
I'm just back in from a 15k hikes with CG and his dog, my legs were mush after yesterday, but their really banjaxed now.
I know I was quite embarrassed, I think I might order a "what do we want, fatties out" t-shirt but I do not harbour prejudice against anybody else bigger that me so that would be mean.
Anywho, I am outta here, enjoy the Paramour what ever you do with him!
Nonny

At least they ran. They probably burned off a few calories.
